Build a world by connecting different temperature biomes on a hexagonal grid

My submission for the Pygame Community Spring Jam 2024

HOW TO PLAY

Try to get the highest score you can by placing tiles
The game ends when you run out of tiles
You score +10 points per connected edge when placing a tile
If you connect all six sides of a tile to its corresponding biomes you get a 'perfect' tile
A 'perfect' tile scores you +100 points and +3 more tiles to your stack
A tile will go into shadow when it can no longer become a 'perfect' tile

CONTROLS

Move the mouse to the edges of the screen to move around
LMB: place active tile
RMB: rotate active tile
F: hold active tile
C: centre to world origin
R: restart
M: mute

I can see myself really getting sucked into this! Had to cut myself off at 6600 points. I'd love to be able to zoom out to see the whole map, or somehow scroll around faster.
