The menu you are brought to is an upgrade screen, use W & S to move between options, J to purchase if you have enough bugs.
You cannot stretch until you upgrade your width and height abilities.
There is a way to 'beat' the game but it is only possible for the true-hearted DEAD PIXEL gamers.
